The cyber world is playing an increasingly important role for CONTESA in both spreading the CONTESA story and also being able to provide information back to our many supporters, donors and new friends across the globe.
The website www.contesacharity.co.uk remains the most important means of keeping everyone up-to-date; on average we now have 400 hits a month with over 45% being new visitors. Although we have only recently set up a YouTube account, we have already had just over 600 visits to the CONTESACHARITY Channel and over 800 views of our videos, with already over 700 channel views and 550 upload views including the 150+ views of the earlier video. These videos are also all available on the CONTESA website.
CONTESA also recently celebrated 200+ followers on Twitter, this is a really wonderful achievement and has taken a lot of hard work. Our thanks must go to Kate Oxton our social media expert who tweets and engages with our network almost daily.
CONTESA has recently set up a blog. The aim of this tool is to communicate the programmes and projects that CONTESA are supporting to a wider audience and to provide real life accounts of the vulnerable children who are being affected daily by the work CONTESA does, click here to go to the CONTESA blog. CONTESA is on Facebook with 69 supporters. Thanks to those of you who already support us but please spread the word and get your children, grandchildren, friends, neighbours etc to ‘Like CONTESA’.
CONTESA is also using Everyclick, a technology company that has created more ways to give to UK charities. We have recently started to use it to publicise our blogs and news as well as it being a donation source. Remember to also use it as your default search engine as clicks count to raise funds for CONTESA and every click counts!
CONTESA is listed on the BigGive, CharityPortal, LinkedIn and several other sites. Remember to Digg, StumbleUpon, Buzz, Newsvine, Google +1 etc CONTESA, so whenever there is a CONTESA article or blog please share it around the cyber world so everyone gets to know CONTESA.
CONTESA is also registered as a supported charity on Ebay and MissionFish. If you are an Ebay seller or would like to be you can make a donation to CONTESA through your normal Ebay account or you can sell specifically for CONTESA through the special Ebay charity selling site http://www.missionfish.org.uk We would certainly love to hear from anyone who would be willing to open and operate an online CONTESA charity shop.
